Stephen E. Dunham, DPM, AACFAS, is an expert foot and ankle surgeon at Hudson Valley Foot Associates, serving patients in Kingston, New Windsor, Wappingers Falls, Hudson, Red Hook, Margaretville, and West Coxsackie, New York.
Dr. Dunham completed his undergraduate studies at Barry University in Miami, Florida, earning a degree in clinical biology. After being awarded a multi-year research grant, Dr. Dunham continued his work with the university as an adjunct professor, researching lower extremity wounds. Portions of this research were later published in a peer-reviewed journal and presented by Dr. Dunham at multiple scientific conventions.
Dr. Dunham continued his studies at Barry University, where he earned his podiatric medical degree. During this time, Dr. Dunham was a two-time recipient of the Dr. Robert Warriner Research Award and the Dr. Raymond D. Ibanez Memorial Perseverance Award. He completed his three-year Podiatric Surgical Residency Program at HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley. He served as Chief Surgical Resident and became certified in Ankle and Reconstructive RearFoot certifications. Dr. Dunham graduated from the program in 2020, after which he joined Hudson Valley Foot Associates.
Dr. Dunham is an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is board-qualified in foot, reconstructive rearfoot, and ankle surgery. He has also completed numerous additional training programs, including the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Arthroscopy Course, the Bako Dermatopathology Mini-Fellowship, and The Podiatry Institute for Forefoot Surgical Skills Course.
In his free time, Dr. Dunham enjoys being in the beautiful outdoors of the Hudson Valley with his family.
