Dr. Stephen E. Dunham completed his undergraduate studies at Barry University, earning a Clinical Biology degree.  Through a multi-year research grant, Dr. Dunham was able to continue his work at the university as an adjunct professor, researching lower extremity wounds. Portions of this research were later published in a peer reviewed journal and presented by Dr. Dunham at multiple scientific conventions.

After completing the project, Dr. Dunham continued his studies at Barry University where he earned his podiatric medical degree.  During this time, Dr. Dunham was a two-time recipient of the Dr. Robert Warriner Research Award, as well as the Dr. Raymond D. Ibanez Memorial Perseverance Award.

Dr. Dunham then completed his three-year Podiatric Surgical Residency Program (including Ankle and Reconstructive Rear Foot certifications) at HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, where he also served as Chief Surgical Resident. Upon his graduation from the program in 2020, Dr. Dunham joined the staff of Hudson Valley Foot Associates in Kingston.

Dr. Dunham is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is Board-Qualified in Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot & Ankle Surgery.  He has also completed numerous additional training programs, including: American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Arthroscopy Course; Bako Dermatopathology Mini-Fellowship; and the Podiatry Institute for Forefoot Surgical Skills Course.

In his free time, Dr. Dunham enjoys being in the beautiful outdoors of the Hudson Valley with his family.
